I'm sure the late Roy Cohn, Mr. Trump's attorney and original "fixer," would have been at the top of the once and future president's list for AG, had Mr. Cohn still been around. He would have been a perfect consigliere. His clients included Mr. Trump and several mob family bosses whose companies and mob-controlled union locals helped build Trump Tower, according to a 2016 Politico article. Perhaps the once and future president should have nominated Bruce Cutler, who secured three aquittals for the original "Teflon Don," the late John Gotti. Tim Palatore, who represented our once and future president on his government documents case before resigning over a difference with the legal team in May 2023, was Mr. Cutler's law partner. According to the New York Daily News, in 2013 Mr. Palatore bailed Mr. Cutler out of jail when he was arrested after punching out another attorney at a New York steakhouse. Mr. Cutler, a former college footbal fullback, was sprung in time for a guest appearance as himself on an episode of the CBS-TV show "Blue Bloods." Cutler also had a show on Court TV.
If the once and future president is looking for entertaiment value (as well as some extra muscle) with his cabinet picks, well....
Someone noted on one of the infotainment shows it's also too bad Jimmy Breslin isn't still with us.
I'm hopeful that a full inquisition is completed. To say the least, the results should be interesting.
Who's manning the popcorn machine?
MORE essential in 2024, if we're being honest. Nice work on this one, Ed.
