First, it isn't a tax cut.
Second, it limits future legislatures' ability to respond to recessions, federal cuts, emergencies, or changing public needs. May not impact us baby boomers, but do you have younger friends or family members?
All of our state Democratic candidates need to integrate into their campaign platform - changing our state constitution to allow for easier citizen ballot initiatives. Tyranny of the minority is fast becoming tiring in Iowa.
Maybe this is just a knee-jerk reaction to all of the moneyed-interest shenanigans going on in Des Moines, but I'm beginning to believe that some of our politicians are downright scum. Ordinarily I prefer to use more accurate and concise descriptors, but I'm not so sure that this one doesn't pretty much hit the nail on the head. Scum. There. I said it. (With apologies to scum)

In general the majority should rule so that the same rules apply to all subject to Constitutional protections.
