Thanks for your reporting. We here in Iowa should be able to see through this scheme, but I remain worried. Can we create the same type of coalition that Missouri formed? Who is likely to step up?

Whoa! This is the second time this year we agree.

Elections have consequences. It would be appreciated across the entirety of the country if candidates actually told the truth about what they wish to do. Furthermore, it would be helpful to all if reporters asked the hard, follow-up questions of all candidates. Maybe I ask for too much of everyone but it would result in better outcomes and a truly representative republic.

What I’m wondering is whether there will be any organized opposition here. At this point, I’m not aware of any.

Kudos, Ed, for excellent, clear reporting on a timely issue that all Iowans should read and take action on in the voting booth. A vote to reject the amendment for the sake of the common good.

Make sure you vote NO on Amendment 1! Talk to your friends and family and explain this dangerous amendment.

Wow, the MO Realtors joined efforts to stop the tax scheme? That’s good to know.

Thanks for highlighting the current activity in Iowa. I have not heard that this is on general public awareness radar.
