It's time for the Office Lounge
Paying subscribers can join the Iowa Writers' Collaborative for its monthly Zoom meeting
Once a month, the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative offers its paying subscribers the chance to join its writers on a Zoom call. The idea is for the writers to talk about their work, and to give subscribers a chance to make suggestions and ask questions.
It’s a great opportunity for a give-and-take that informs readers and helps writers understand what some of their readers expect.
Tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 27, is the day for this month’s Office Lounge. The meeting begins at noon. (The name Office Lounge is taken from a tavern in Des Moines, where Des Moines Register journalists used to congregate after work hours.)
Our Zoom sessions usually last about an hour, and as paying subscribers to Along the Mississippi, you’re invited to attend.
If you’re not a paying subscriber, this is your chance to sign up and join the discussion. The link to the meeting is below.
